Get creative with your search!
Expanding your Network
Social Media Hiring & Networking
Social Media is a great place to connect with Recruiters & network with industry professionals outside of the traditional LinkedIn networking. I've met and hired a number of amazing candidates from social media! Connect with companies and recruiters via:
Clubhouse (audio networking & knowledge shares) - follow @Jarrett Albritton and hit his weekly CH Tech Careers rooms, or spaces on Twitter! Twitter.com/DoctaNYC
Twitter & Twitter Spaces
Join Discord & Slack Groups! Like DesignX, Design Buddies, Devs4Hire
Check out Meetup.com and join groups of interest. Design, Product, Eng, Crypto, Data - there are groups for everyone! Like WHC Toronto, Product School (TO), Cyber Tech & Risk (TO), Defi TO
Instagram
Facebook (job groups)
Level up your LinkedIn game!

Profile Photo Creator
LinkedIn remains the #1 source for Recruiters looking for talent. Early or later in career, if you're not on LinkedIn you are limiting your visibility to Recruiters and exciting opportunities
Make sure your profile is on point so you can feel confident reaching out to Recruiters, and have Recruiters come to you with great opportunities!
Fill out all sections of your profile, and turn on the "Open to Work" feature
Have a professional photo (you can also edit the background on Canva), and download or create a Banner using Canva!
Have a summary that includes what you're passionate about, highlights of your profile/experience, and list out keywords & skills (these will bump you up in recruiter searches)
Follow companies you would be interested in working at, connect with Recruiters or hiring managers at that company
